Recap: First Handmade Swap (Spring Themed!)
Back in April, Katie Crafts hosted it’s first handmade swap! The theme was Spring, and a handful of fun crafty girls participated. I put everyone’s names in a hat, gave it a shake, and handed out a different name to each person. It was a blast! Here is what I made for the person whose name I drew, and what I received from the person who drew me!
Fact: The first Friday in June is National Donut Day. How delicious! That means depending on where you live, you can go out and grab a free donut (or doughnut, if you prefer) today to enjoy with your afternoon coffee. Project: DIY Shabby Chic Rosettes
I really like making these little fabric rosettes because they are simple, don’t require my sewing machine, and are great to use in a number of projects! (Bonus: they are this month’s fabric scrap basket project!) Today, I’m going to show you how to make the flowers themselves, and give you one idea for using them. Sunday Funday: Issue 15
What a lovely weekend! Friday was off to a rough start. We had so many issues with the car we rented for the day, we had to take it back and switch to a new car which put a huge dent in our day. We also spent a good hour at PennDot getting new licenses since Husband’s was about to expire. That gave me the chance to officially (finally) change my last name to his, so there’s that! We went on to spend the remainder of the evening wandering around New Hope (full post on that tomorrow!) and having an awesome sushi/hibachi dinner! Saturday was spent at Reading Terminal Market and reading books in Washington Square Park. Well, I read. Husband fell asleep! Today we’re going for pedicures (yippee) before what I hope is the continuation of a relaxing birthday weekend for the Husband. I hope your Sunday is wonderful, too!
