Yarn Bombing + What Are You Doing? Blog Hop #113

Yarn Bombing + What Are You Doing? Blog Hop #113 on Katie Crafts; https://www.katiecrafts.com

Yarn Bombing- also known as yarn storming, guerrilla knitting and graffiti knitting: type of street art wherein colorful yarn displays are crocheted or knitted around objects.

There are many trees, signs, poles and more around Philadelphia that have been yarn bombed by others, but I was feeling the tree outside our house was kind of lonely, so I started on my own sweater for him! What do you think of the colors I picked so far? I think the blues and browns will be lovely.

Mabel was helping me choose colors for this project!

I’ll be sure to explain more about yarn bombing as well as post pics of the finished product once it’s sewn on to the tree! I may even make something for the tiny tree at the end of our street too, in case he is also lonely… Have you ever yarn bombed anything before?

In the meantime….

Is It Too Comfortable In Here?

Jamie from Medium Sized Family shared a great post on challenging yourself on the changes you make in your life. She made a really good point on justifying a food purchase, and I don’t really want to say anything else on it because I want you to read it yourself! It just really challenged me to change the way I think about restrictions. Thanks for sharing, Jamie! Congratulations to the featured blogs!

Don’t forget to check out the other blogs from last week!

  1. Yarn bombing is fun! I once came a cross of a bench in a kids park that had bird legs knitted for it 🙂

Love your colors for that tree’s sweater 🙂

    1. That sounds adorable!

  2. I’ve heard of yarn bombing!! I’ve never actually seen it though. It would be really cool to find something like that on the street. Can’t wait to see photos of it Katie 🙂

    1. I’m going to try to take pics around the city before I do my post about it, but my tree is already adorned! 🙂
