Project: Quick Summer Skirt Tutorial
This weekend was gorgeous! It wasn’t quite skirt weather, but almost! New dresses and skirts are always the first thing I want to buy when the weather gets warm, but if you have the fabric and a little bit of time, why not make your own? Continue reading Quick Summer Skirt Tutorial

Last Minute Halloween Costume Idea DIY: Animal Headbands
Tomorrow is finally Halloween! While Husband and I will be Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass later on in the evening at the annual Halloween party we go to, we need something fun for when the kids come trick-or-treating earlier in the evening. I have a cute vampire bat face dress I got on Etsy a few years ago that I’ll pair with a little witch’s hat I have and some tights. Our storage unit has a cowboy hat and pirate hat that Husband could have worn, but we haven’t had the chance to get over there yet, so he has nothing fun at the ready. But don’t worry, I’ve fixed that issue in 5 minutes! Continue reading Last Minute Halloween Costume Idea DIY
Project: Origami Easy Traditional Origami Balloon
Hey everyone! Husband here with another Origami project for you to try your hand at! Even though Katie and I are in the midst of moving, I still managed to create something I think you’ll really enjoy.
I’ve mentioned before that I liked to goof off in school by making all manner of things out of paper and this project is no different. I’m going to show you how to make a neat little Origami Balloon! They’re great to toss around, cats love them and everyone will totally think you’re the COOLEST. Just kidding, I wasn’t cool at all 🙁
That said, I’ll still show you how to make one… Onwards! Continue reading Origami with The Husband: Easy Traditional Origami Balloon
Project: DIY Mini Sketch Book (or Notebook!)
A few weeks back, I found myself in one of my greatest inspiration stores. Nope, not the fabric store, or the craft store, or even the art store- Home Depot! Seriously, I love it there. We were visiting my Dad for the weekend and painting my childhood bedroom a sunny shade of pale golden yellow. While browsing the paint aisles, I decided to grab a few different paint chip swatches, knowing when I had the time I would be able to find a fun little project to use them for. Well, now is the time! Continue reading DIY Mini Sketch Book
Project: How To Turn Your T-Shirt In To A Pillow
The other day, I caught the Husband trying to throw out an old t-shirt of his. It got a small bleach stain on it which is pretty much the end of an article of clothing. Still, I rescued it from garbage can heaven and gave it two new reasons to live! Half the shirt I used to make t-shirt yarn, while the other half was used to make a pillow! My sister also loves the same silly anime things that Husband does (sorry, I just don’t see the appeal!), so I knew she’d love this pillow for her bed. It was very easy and I’m thinking of making a few pillows for my bed now too, using shrunken Woot tees and old band shirts! Continue reading How To Turn Your T-Shirt In To A Pillow
