When I was younger (and in grade school), I would spend my time doing anything that gave me a reason to ignore my homework; video games, books and drawing to name a few. Occasionally I’d want to get a little more hands on, so I decided to get a little more mischievous — I learned how to make Origami Ninja Stars! When I got engaged, I immediately began thinking of all the things I could DIY for the wedding. I thought about all the money we could save if I made it all myself- decorations, invitations, and even all the gifts. Oh the gifts. The many, many gifts. I of COURSE didn’t think about the stress it would cause me trying to get it all done! Ah well, c’est la vie. While hunting for brooches for my bridesmaids (to turn in to hair combs) that somewhat matched the theme was a sometimes-grueling-3-month-long task, the actual making them part was very easy!
