At the start of 2015, I posted about five projects I really wanted to try out during the year. I managed to craft some, but never got around to all of them. They will remain on my to-do list until I get a chance to complete them. In the meantime, I found 5 projects for 2016 that I’m just as excited about! Continue reading 5 Projects for 2016
Project: 5 Minute No Sew Apron From Jeans!!
I have been waiting to try this project out for quite some time now! I knew as soon as the nice weather came around that I would want to pot plants on our front and back patios, and I thought a cute gardening apron would make a great Spring post. I have also found myself using it indoors while I’m crafting, so you have lots of uses for this genius upcycled item! If you have five minutes and a pair of old jeans that you were just about to get rid of, try this out- you have nothing to lose! Continue reading 5 Minute No Sew Apron From Jeans
Project: How to Make a No Sew Baby Tutu
My best friend from home, K, is having her second baby TODAY– this time a little girl! She found lots of things on Etsy that she wants to get baby-to-be, but most of them are very expensive. I told her I’d take care of a few of them myself, including the tutu she wanted for the newborn photos! This project was so much fun and maybe one of the easiest I’ve made, using just a simple slip knot technique. I wish I had a reason to make a ton more! Continue reading How to Make a No Sew Baby Tutu
Project: DIY Yarn Necklace Tutorial
Yet another tutorial using t-shirt yarn (woo hoo for upcycling!), this necklace tutorial is incredibly simple to make, and will take you under 10 minutes from getting started to ready-to-wear! Big plus, you can make one to match every outfit you own, so your neck will never be empty or lonely! Continue reading DIY Yarn Necklace Tutorial
Project: No Sew Braided Headband
Let me preface this post by saying this is one of the easiest headbands you will ever make. The other easiest is in the Tips!
Soon (hopefully very soon!) I’ll be able to put away my adorable winter hat and sport some even cuter headbands in weather that doesn’t freeze my face off. In anticipation of such, I’m on a headband-making-spree. In addition to the reversible headbands that require time, patience and a sewing machine (post on those to come!), I’m making these really fun braided headbands in every color that require only a few minutes and no sewing at all!
