Mom’s Chicken Cutlets

Mom's Chicken Cutlets, recipe by Katie Crafts; https://www.katiecrafts.com

Recipe: Mom’s Chicken Cutlets

One of the earliest things I remember helping my mom cook was her chicken cutlets. She’d lay out three bowls (one for flour, one for eggs, and one for breadcrumbs) and let me dip the chicken in to each, carefully coating it on each side. It made my fingers disgusting, but I loved every minute of it. Especially because I knew it meant very soon I’d get to eat my mother’s amazing chicken cutlets. Continue reading Mom’s Chicken Cutlets

Wordless Wednesday: Birthday

Wordless Wednesday: Birthday

Monday was my birthday (yay!), so I spent the whole weekend and Monday celebrating, and plan to continue throughout the week. Over the weekend, Husband and I went to two craft shows, the bookstore, Sephora for makeup, shopping for clothes and to countless places to eat. We ended our binge of eating-things-we-shouldn’t-but-it’s-okay-because-it’s-my-birthday with a chocolate lava cake on Monday night. We couldn’t finish it because it was too decadent and we were stuffed from dinner, but it definitely hit the spot! Now I just have to find a good recipe for it to try it at home…

What desserts do you like to have when celebrating your birthday?

Happy National Chocolate Day!

Happy National Chocolate Day! on Katie Crafts; https://www.katiecrafts.com

There are a few holidays I absolutely insist on celebrating because of their sheer importance in this world. National Chocolate Day is obviously one of them. While away on our one-year-anniversary-trip this past weekend, we stopped in a little shop that had a whole section devoted to Milka chocolate bars and other items (surprisingly a Kraft Food’s brand, unsurprisingly not as delicious here as in Europe, but still more wonderful than other chocolates). I bought a couple bars to save for today so that I could celebrate this most holy day! Happy National Chocolate Day, one and all!

How will you be celebrating?
